Crazy Ways To Make Money – Give Things Away
There are many crazy ways to make money and if you are anything like me, you probably believe in the old saying “If it looks too good to be true it probably is”, at least it always makes me a bit skeptical.
This is why I had challenges when I read headlines saying things such as “No Sponsoring”, “No Selling”, “Daily Pay”, “No Cost” and the like. Then when I saw “$80 – $100 Daily Payouts“, I just knew there had to be a catch somewhere.
Who Introduced It To Me?
This opportunity had come to me from someone that I had worked with for some time and I didn’t feel that she would get involved in a dodgy business. I kept thinking “What if it were genuinely one of the crazy ways to make money?” and “What if I could make money with no money?”. So I contacted Lynn and asked her a few questions. What I discovered was that she had only been involved for a couple of weeks but had already received payments in her PayPal account. What is more these payouts were for offering people things that cost them nothing!!
People do find it difficult to get people to get their credit card out online sometimes but I was convinced that I could find people to give things away to which would make money for me. They would benefit and so would I. Then I found out that the things I would be giving away were from Fortune500 companies who are turning to the internet to promote their goods and services..
I gather that not so many people are reading traditional newspapers these days and prefer to get their news from the internet. Television is suffering in a similar way which is why these people are turning to internet advertising.
How does it work?
What they do online now is to offer potential customers a free trial of their products, obviously hoping that they will like them and buy in the future. So we simply have to introduce these Fortune500 company products to as many people as we can in the U.S.A, Canada or the U.K.. Just think how many people that is and it needn’t be solely online.
Their advertising budget for this seems to range from $20 to $80 dependent on the products offered. Just for giving people the opportunity of trying things which cost them nothing. definitely qualifies for me as one of the crazy ways to make money. Sounds like money for old rope doesn’t it.
There is even more good news. Behind all of this is a company where we get supplied with all the information we could need to make money from this idea. Anyone who has an internet connection and can copy and paste, can do this. They make it that easy.
How do we qualify?
We then have to take up the freebies ourselves which qualifies us to offer them to other people and collect our money.
As I write I have been in this for just a week and have already had a payment to my PayPal account. I also have eight others in the pipeline. Needless to say, I am very pleased with that. I was expecting to have to pay an upgrade fee or something similar but there is no sign of one and I am now convinced that there never will be.

Giving people a free trial of a product is like a bait. They hook on it and then it’s eaasy to catch them)) So it’s good policy for promoting your product.

Hey Trevor, I read the article by Lynn you referred to here and I even bookmarked that sales page. I understand the concept, and hey, I’m all for more money. My reluctance is because I’m just beginning to monetize my site and offering my books for sale at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc. I could be wrong, but it seems to me focusing on marketing and selling my own stuff may be slower, but in the long run is more likely to get me to my residual income goal. Still, there’s nothing wrong with multiple streams of income so I’m looking forward to hearing more from you and Lynn on how this works out for you. Thanks!

Marquita, I agree that monetizing your own site and getting a residual income is better in the long term but, heck, I need to eat in the short term.

Allen, this is something a bit different from all the other things you are doing probably. It is a stand alone money making exercise for which you can find lots of prospects because it does not cost anything. As an update for everyone following this, I have made $98 since I joined on October 20th.

It sounds crazy initially, but it does make sense when you mentioned that it is just part of the marketing budget of these companies.
I think the statistic is that it costs 6x as much to gain a new customer as to keep a current customer happy. Creating an opportunity for people to market for them and have free samples as part of that process is great for these companies as long as their samples pay off and create new customers for them.

I guess that if you refer others but don’t sign up then I get the payments… You need to register and qualify to get them yourself.
I know one thing. When you want to create trust and build a list of customers you must first give them value. It doesn’t mean you always have to give free things. Good old fashioned quality customer service is value too. It does mean if you don’t they won’t trust, and if they don’t trust they don’t buy.

This sounded dodgy to me when I read it the first time, but I think I’m starting to get the idea. I can’t argue with your own personal experience. If you say it works for you, then it must do so. So, is this actually a company ‘crowdsourcing’ some of their marketing activities in order to spread their product as much as possible? That would make sense. And I like the fact that they supply us with all the tools we need. I think I might give it a try, too! Best wishes, Leonard
Thanks Leonard, it sounded dodgy to me at first too but lots of things do on the internet… I am no big money maker by any means and do not have a list above 100 people but, with a bit of effort on my part I have made over $300 in my first month, almost doubled my list size and my advertising campaign is only just getting going. All that for a zero cost investment in my book is good for a small time player like me. I plan on reinvesting some of that money for paid advertising and look to move on to the next level.
