Why is it that most of us work very hard to earn our money and yet we seem to be able to spend it rather easily?

Very few people seem to think it possible to save as little as 10% of their income. Even when we get a big increase we still manage to find plenty of things to waste the extra on. Most of us do truly live to the maximum and spend whatever income we get. It is so easy to find something to buy at the end of a month rather than simply saving.

There is one way however by which we can make some money savings on our regular purchases.

If you could find some offers that cut your expenses in half you would be interested wouldn’t you. That is what I had to do when times got tough and I had to become the money advice expert for our family.

The challenge that a lot of people have is that simply do not trust these offers. Human nature tells us that the company is trying to con us in some way. They think that there must be a catch and convince themselves that it is not a very good offer anyway.

Should you be one of these doubters or would like to find out a bit more here are three tips on how to make the best use of money saving coupons.

1. Find the correct places to look for them.

Often the newspaper that you buy every day will have some in it which you just need to cut out and take along to the relevant shop at the local mall. There a few there most weeks.

Normally, as you open up the weekend paper, a lot of pieces of paper fall out from inside. What I used to do was simply collect them together and put them out with the garbage. Then I realized that that was literally throwing money away as some of them were money saving coupons.

2 Check out the retailer sites on the internet.

They will often offer what have become known as e coupons whereby you simply put a code in as you checkout and get a discount. These on-line coupons do usually give you a bigger saving than the equivalent store off-line as it will mean that they do not have as many overheads.

One of the best things I found was when the more coupons I collected the more discount I got. Sometimes stores actually offer free samples of their products if you are a regular shopper with them.

3. Lots of money is saved by using coupons.

Apart from the freebies, the normal offer coupons do often cut your bill in half. You will be amazed how much that will save you over the next twelve months.

So go out and buy the local Sunday paper, keep the bits of paper that fall out of it and start searching on the internet for online money saving coupons.
